Wow! What great weekend, first off we just want to thank all of you who made it out Friday night braving yet another brutal snowstorm to come and support us, you really have no idea how grateful we are to such awesome fans! Thank You!

We hope you enjoyed the show. For those of you who werent there we played a couple of new songs off of our upcoming release which was alot of fun and from all reports they went over quite well. It was an all business 8 song set which saw us cut “hurry up” last second due to some delays. We stuck to a very meatty danceable anthemic dirty rock set which proved to alot of fun. Phil Ogynist got some really great photos (Thanks Phil) which i would put , a link to but ….they never seem to work when i post them, so im just gonna post them in our Gallery.

Nobody new who this Guest might be except us on the inside and we had to keep it kinda hush hush because there was some uncertainty about whether or not it would actually happen or not, but then at 1:30 am a Taxi pulled up to the Elmocambo with a guy named Garth Hudson and his wife Maud inside. For those of you who dont know who is go out right now rent The Last Waltz, its a concert by the Legendary band known simply as “The Band”. Garth was the keyboardist for The Band and is thought to be heavily responsible for giving them thier unique sound through his brilliance….”Cripple Creek” “The Weight” “The shape im in” are just a few of many many hits they wrote. Ok….so right Garth Showed up! Unbelievable…”could this be happening”. Peter Katz our new label mate and his band had learned some “band” songs through the week and so did we in hopes of performing them with Garth. Even though Garth was now in the building it was still unclear if he was going to come up on stage and join us. Peter just finished up a few of his numbers and called over the mic “now were gonna get The Dunes to come up and do a few songs”. We were just about readyto kick into “The shape im in” and guess who walks up on stage with us….yip Garth. I (Kevin) greeted him again and asked him if he wanted to do both songs we had rehearsed the first one being “The shape im in” he smiled and said yeah “lets do it”. There was a great energy in the that room Friday night about 40 or so people had stuck around anticipating a “special guest” and thats exaxctly what they got cellphones and flashbulbs everywhere but still the mood was very intimate and serene and….. amazing. We effortlessly strolled through “The shape im in” and it was great to watch Garth work his magic, once we finished that up it was time to for Garth to play “his” song “Chest fever”. If you dont know the song go download it from itunes right now it is an epic! We all looked around at each other as we moved through it with massive grins on our faces and i think for a moment we felt, or at least i felt what it might of been like to be in the band in the 70’s playing these songs….magic. Peter and his band came up after that and busted into “The weight”. We stayed on stage together and Jammed it out and the whole place errupted as everyone in the place sang along “take a load off fanny….take a load for free”…Im sure you can imagine it was a very special night. Garth and his wife were very warm and kind and we had the opportunity to just be oureselves and enjoy each others company. “The weight” was the set ender the crowd literally went wild, but, that was it for the night and as we exited the stage I looked at Garth and he smiled at me i put my arm around him and he said to me tongue in cheek “lets get a band together and get out on the road”. Thanks Garth from all of us!

Soooo…just wanted to keep you all up to date with whats been happening, ok so where to start? Right then.

Recording! Well were all back from the studio now after really working hard in there pouring out our guts on songs and i think the final result…which we havent heard yet is going to be quite good at least to us. Each song has an identifiable emotion attached to it, that was the goal to really emote to really feel and i think we have accomplished that. Theres a few little nik naks that Kevin is going back in to do next week some vocal stuff some rewrites etc and then the album will be mixed and the finally mastered. A release date has not been determined yet. I just need to mention how amazing it was to work with our Co-Producer Sigfried Meier he really listened to us and let us express what we wanted…aswell as keeping us fed,happy and great spirits. Oh and thanks to Rachel aswell for the incroyable meals! And lastly to Mr. Meow for being Mr. Meow…youll know what i mean when release some video. So there ya have it thats that more on that at a later date.

CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK

So close now people can you feel it in the air…can ya! Thats right! This Friday is the big CMW Curve Music showcase. Hopefully all of you who are in the area have made plans to attend. The night promises to be Great joining us that night are label mates Shuan Verrault, Peter Katz and Grand Pm and it is now confirmed that Legend of Rock will be in attendance aswell…no shit! So come on out its 10 bucks its @ The Elmocambo and its this friday March 7th…expect great music all night we hit the stage @ midnight!

NEW SHOW WITH USS

You heard it right were sharing the stage with our good friends Ash and Jay of USS Saturday March 15th @ The Great Hall (Queen @ Ossington, Toronto) This is in concert with Edge 102 and Jamiesons Whiskey….mmmmmwhiskey. USS has been tearing up the airwaves lately and they simply are awesome in every way to see them is to love them come and get blown away! See ya’ll there.

So how have you been? Good? Thats great! Ok so Its two days before we pack up and head off to the studio and the mood is anxious and excited…it seems weve been waiting forever for this time to come and now its so close. Rest assured we will keep you posted from the studio.

So a new show has been added we will be taking part in this years Canadian Music Week performing at the Curve Music/Cerberus Artists Showcase @ The Elmocambo Friday March 7th @ midnight….Grand Pm Peter Katz and other special guests will be on the same bill. Were gonna be fresh from the studio and ready to show off some new material so put this one in your calender…. its from all accounts going to be big…real big!!!

Howdy folks so first of all thank you thank you thank you to all of you who came to support us @ The Elmocambo this passed weekend it was at capacity and thats the best way for a venue to be as far as were concerned…i think it was our best show…ever…more of those to come you can count on that.

But 3 weeks to go until we hit the studio and we are very much excited our musical dreams are in order and the sky is the limit on the creativity that were going to unleash.

Ok to so here the deal on february 13th we hole up on the banks of lake Huron for a few weeks and intend to complete our new album..title not yet determined…..we are really excited about what lies ahead thanks to your encouragement and support…the delays are now over and were getting down to business!

So the idea is make a heartfelt genuine exciting record then tour like hell first across Canada and then the world. We think our live show right now is better than ever and we only want to improve on it and every other facet of what we do thats just who we are and thats just what we’ll do!

Hey everyone we just want to thank all of you our great friends and fans for all of your support this year, we seem to be chugging along nicely thanks to your support and next year promises to be one of our most exciting and adventagous. Our first order of business to finish up recording our follow up album (untitled as of yet) and then get out on the road first through Canada where we will probably be teaming up with one of Torontos best breaking bands Trohpy for a coast to coast tour and then following that we will head to overseas again England Scotland.
