Yes its been a little quite in here as we try and work together with our label on finalizing a release date for the new album tentatively titled “subject to change”. Its been a really frustrating time for us as we are really happy with the way the album evolved and eventually came to rest and we want to share it with you, but, at this point i guess we are all going to have to be patient. That said we believe it will be well worth the wait.
In other new we want thank everyone who came to see us at Sgt Peppers in Markham last weekend we had a great time meeting all of you great people and have plans to be there in the near future.
Cheers

Hey how are you? Good? Oh good..we’re glad. So things are moving along nicely here, the album is in post production and we’re just finalizing artwork and things like that, weve commissioned the super talents of former silent seymourian Greg Serpanchy to make some magic for us in that area. To check out some of his stuff go to gregoryserpanchy.com and have a look this guy… he is seriously good!
As we may or may not have told you guys before, we’ve added alot of piano, strings, organ and even a little bit of trumpet to the new album. So the next question was how are we gonna play this live? Thats where the newest member of The Dunes comes in….we would like you all to welcome Jeremy Panda, yip, I said panda to our gang. He’s an incredible dude both musically and just generally and is bringing many good vibes to us and generally enhancing our existence…..Jeremy will be on the piano, organ and trumpet aswell as being our sounds and trigger man. Yeah it is alot isn’t it? Were very lucky to have him and you can check out his skills at our next show.
“ichange” has been added! It’s a song off the new album. We just wanted give you something while you wait…believe us it’s killing us too….the song speaks for itself and was inspired by alot of goings on over the past few years inter band wise, personally for Kevin and on a larger world and political scale. We have the sense that bubbling under the surface of our world is a movement to change. Changes that will manifest themselves in our actions towards each other and towards ourselves and how we treat one another and a general search for truth. We can feel it. Can you? With great leaders like Barack Obama giving us hope and the belief of a better world through change and honesty. It’s really inspiring and we as people of the earth deserve that, equality and fairness and the feeling that we do count! We need to believe in ourselves. Its okay to be happy despite what the world may lead us to believe. It’s our world to change and change it for the better…and you and us are gonna change it!
Hey everyone! So we are very pleased to announce that our new record is finished and we are really really really pleased with what we have created and we cant wait for you all to hear to it. Many thanks must go to Siegfried Meier our co-producer for his unwavering dedication and understanding in helping us make the kind of record that we have always wanted to make. As for a release date its looking like the record wont be available until around September-ish. Which we know is along time for you to wait but hey “all good things come to those who wait” thats what they say dont they? We are in meetings this week with our label and should know more very soon. Happy days!
